Medellin 's first public and free recording studio in Comuna 1.

On a brief but meaningful visit, we inaugurated on February 6 the first public and free music recording studio in Comuna 1 of Medellín, and the seventh within the framework of the city's Sound Production Laboratories. This initiative, known as Medellín Music Lab, was carried out in collaboration with Fundación Vibra en Alta, 2K Foundations, the Mayor's Office of Medellín, the Secretariat of Culture, the Secretariat of Youth, and Mayor Fico Gutiérrez.
Now, artists from Medellín seeking opportunities to rise can access initiatives like this one, which encourage art and music, create opportunities, and aim to support local talent—talent that comes from the streets, the neighborhoods, and which we know needs support to achieve their dreams. Foundations like Vibra en Alta and 2K Foundations have been essential in helping build the dreams of talented children, teens, and young adults who are looking for spaces to develop their art. This project joins others, such as the Terrazas Verdes initiative we launched last year in San Javier, where we also delivered La Tarima San Javier, a space where young people and artists can access free opportunities to present their work, hold concerts, rehearsals, and sessions that offer technical support, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that can be use to boost their careers and Resonate with who they are.
The hard work of Fundación Vibra en Alta, led by our director Gregorio Londoño, has made J Balvin’s desire to continue supporting the talents and dreams of young people from Medellín and Colombia come to life. For Vibra en Alta, it’s essential to accompany these dreams with educational initiatives, one of the most important points on our philanthropic agenda.

To access the Medellín Music Lab recording studio—along with the other six Sound Production Laboratories—people can visit the websites of the Casas de la Cultura and their social media pages, or the websites of the Secretariat of Culture and the Secretariat of Youth.
